Music is an important tool for sports teams to get fans - and players -  amped up for a game. The tunes need to rock the arena to keep the energy level high and a DJ needs to pick the right song to match each game situation. We wondered what it must be like to be a pro sports DJ: what’s involved in preparing and what it’s like to spin tunes for a big game. Taking us behind the scenes is music producer and DJ, Cale Granton.

Cale has performed alongside top musical talents including Snoop Dogg, Lil Yachty, Sean Paul & Major Lazer.  A resident DJ at Drake’s private members-only Sher Club, he is often called upon by his extensive celebrity client list. Cale is also the Official DJ for the Toronto Maple Leafs where he spins for 20,000 Leaf fans at the Scotiabank Arena. We even got to meet up with Cale and check out his sweet setup overlooking a recent Leafs game. 

About CALE

US/Canadian Music Producer and DJ, Cale Granton was introduced to the music world at an early age. Inspired by the art form of presenting music to a crowd with two turntables, he quickly decided to contribute himself. Recording and selling mix tapes in high school quickly led to performing weekly DJ sets in crowded nightclubs by the age of 17. 20+ years of experience and dedication to his craft has led to being recognized on a global scale.  He is known by an international audience for his open format style and ability to rock crowds abroad. Between his weekly nightclub residencies at some of Toronto's hottest parties and being creative in the studio, Cale is also a humanitarian and ambassador of positive vibes. With an extensive musical background in songwriting, music production and artist development, Cale Granton continues to contribute to and make waves in the music industry.
