EP/23: CREATOR COINS

Portugal the Man Coins and How Creator Coins Can Monetize Fans with Rally’s Bryce Carr

LISTEN ON: APPLE SPOTIFY STITCHER

In this episode we dig into disruptive new business models for artists that use social tokens also known as creator coins. Creator coins represent a potential breakthrough for artists to earn a living and also for fans to participate directly in economy of the artists they want to support. Rally is a new platform for allowing - artists and creators of all types - to make and issue these coins.

To explain how this all works, we’re joined by Bryce Carr from Los Angeles California. Bryce is the Director of Creator Partnerships, Music at Rally. Bryce explains what creator coins are, how they work and how they can be used by artists and fans. He takes us through an example, the PTM coin, which the band Portugal the Man issued on their platform.
